Evaluations and ongoing behavior management for families and children
The Hearing & Speech Institute offers neuropsychological assessment for children aged birth to 17 years of age who may have:
- Developmental delays/disorders
- Difficulty learning, or are devlayed in their development
- Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
- A question of Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Been drug and/or alcohol affected babies/toddlers
- Experienced struggles in school or intheir family systems
- A known brain injury
Our neuropsychologist uses a standardized set of tests that assess brain-behavior relationships to yield comprehensive evaluations. These reports are then available to professionals working together with families to create an effective treatment plan. There is a feedback session for families to review the results, begin planning for their child's needs and to make appropriate referral in consultation with other members of the child's multidisciplinary team as appropriate.
The Institute also offers child and family psychological assessment and treatment relating to:
- Family dynamics and therapy
- Behavioral adjustment and management
