"Hearing Ear Dog" Brings Hope to Longtime Patient
Most people respond immediately to life's every day
buzzers and bells—answer the phone...check on
dinner...open the door. But when a hearing impairment
prevents a person from hearing and responding to these
sounds, it can make her feel vulnerable and dependent.
That's how Evelyn Hannevig felt until a tiny cockapoo
came to the rescue.

Former ILP Student Inspires Hope
Jay Peters is a typical 10-year old boy who does
well in school and lists soccer, roller blading and
video games as his hobbies. He's a very chatty child
with lots of friends. No one would guess he didn't
talk at all until he was three years old.

Mother of Drowning Victim Never Loses Hope
Autumn Locerno, two-and-a-half, fell into the family's back yard swimming pool. When she was found, she was pronounced dead at the scene. But the medical technicians didn't give up. In the ambulance, they got a single heart beat. She went on a respirator and remained in a coma for a month. In just a few hours, Autumn had gone from a vibrant little girl to a child who couldn't swallow or open her eyes.
